Image of a group of people on horseback and seated in front of the Halsted family home on Orienta Ranch in Alhambra, California, with Ida Halsted pictured and her father Rev. Abel Stevens in a chair under a tree at right.
"Ida Halsted" and "Abel Stevens"--text, handwritten in pencil on front of print in margin. "Halsted"--text, handwritten in ink on verso. Halsted was a pioneer family of Alhambra. Samuel M. Halsted called his land "Orienta Ranch" and he was married to Ida R. (Stevens) Halsted, whose father was Rev. Abel Stevens- pictured in photo, a prominent Methodist preacher. Title devised by cataloger; date devised by cataloger based on similar items in the collection and the style of clothing. Related item appears to be the same house from an alternate view.
