Description: Shown is a 1912 postcard for the Hotel Netherlands in Hood, California. It was built in 1912 in a Dutch design with investment from the Hood Improvement Company, in an attempt to develop the small river town along the maritime “Netherlands Route” between Sacramento and Oakland.
