Photograph was edited for publication purposes; Photograph was also used for articles dated February 10, 1954; March 11 and 17, 1954; and February 11, 1955.
Photograph caption dated October 14, 1953 reads, "John Richard Jensen, left, Tujunga, accused of shooting, robbing and kidnaping [sic] Marine Sgt. Marion Piper is shown in Soledad court with Det. Sgt. Richard Dailey, Newhall sheriff's deputy. Preliminary hearing for Jensen was continued to Nov. 17."
