Description
"Itenya 1935. Heidentaufe. Männer." ("Itenya in 1935. Baptizing the heathen. Men."). A man is kneeling. The missionary is pouring water over his head. The missionary's assistant is standing beside them. In the background men standing in a line and watching the scene.
Cf. photo nos. 10534 (the given year 1936 is probably wrong) and 10535. -- Ernst Waldner (1898-?) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine and served in East Africa. He married Julie Friederike Ebinger.
