Photograph caption dated April 19, 1956 reads, "Denny Powers, three-event man for Van Nuys High, will see action again tomorrow when his teammates meet San Fernando in Valley League meet. His second place Monday in the broad jump helped the Wolves beat North Hollywood. He is shown here getting that all-important second spot. Canoga Park battles North Hollywood and Reseda is at Birmingham in two other loop clashes tomorrow."
