Description: Parks and Open Space Commissioners Merrit Robinson, Dorothy Olson, Karin Urquhart, Lee Gerner and Roberta Dunham on Mount Burdell in 1978. The Open Space District (with the help San Marin’s Community Service Area No. 25) bought 1,439 acres on Mount Burdell from Exxon, the Nunes family and others in 1977. Mount Burdell is 1,558 in elevation. The Preserve is also 1,558 acres in size.
