Description
Text: "It is said in the Mahavamsa that King Dhatusena (459-477 AD) built a Maitri Bodhisattva image house to the left of the Abhayagiriya Bodhi-tree shrine and decorated it with ornaments. This could be the same Bodhisattva image house. Here some remnants of limestone Bodhisattva image have been found. This belongs to the 5th century AD."
