Description
An interview with Edgar J. Seil, who worked for Southern Pacific in Sacramento, California from 1960-1962. Seil was assigned to the Sacramento Shops as a result of a promotion. He was the first Supervisor of Quality Control in the entire Southern Pacific system. He worked primarily in Car Shop 3 (Passenger Cars). Later, his duties were expanded to include other shops. Seil performed several cost studies that resulted in savings to the Southern Pacific.
