Description: Originally named Boulder Dam, it was renamed Hoover Dam in 1946. In this view lights are strung around the entire construction area. We are looking at the face of the dam from near the level of the power house roofs (under construction also) at the base of the dam. Even though it is well lit, no people are seen.
