Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations in printed book.
Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations by Thomas Vernon in his 1684 copy of Patrick Ker's Flosculum poeticum. Most annotations consist of the initials "TV" after poems, but Vernon has also drawn decorations in the margins and written comments on various poems (such as "true" or in one case, "hah hah). Many pages also have short observations about others and their homes written in Vernon's hand but in a different, very faded ink.

Modern pencil notation on front paste-down endpaper: "From the Britwell Court Library." Note on exposed wooden board behind front paste-down: "Braudy II sale 1808, /c&p/, Heber 1305 with another --"; this note is transcribed in a later hand on the first preliminary page. "Tho: Vernon, Dec: 21 1703" written in a drawing of a monument topped with the words Epsom and Hoe, and (in same hand) a verse dated "11th March 1752" all inscribed on page facing title page. "Thomas Vernon his book 1737" followed by "James Harfeld?" (which is crossed out) at the bottom of page 11.
