Of six dead seals that have b
disposed of by the life guards
since June 15th. Their olfactory
stamina and physical prowess should
receive the recompense that sue h
service merits. The patrons of the
beach service, that make the life
guards possible, are to be commended
for their community spirit.
We have been informed that a dead
seal on the beach is a gift of
Neptune and belongs to the resident
on whose lot it rests He may not
desire the seal and the stench
may not inconvienence him b
about his neighbors to leeward.
This season the Life Guard Service
is the only service available lor
the removal of dead seal and other
undesirable visitors. If for no
other reason it should receive the
support of every resident.
WE CELEBRATED THE 4TH .
If a spectacular display of fireworks a measure of patriotism the
Malibu Beach deserves the g
•.-medal. Frm East to West the entire
front was a Vesuveus of action. It
would take more than the available
space to describe the effects
created or to give credit to all
those who contributed to the Guards
efforts or who fired indvidual or
group displays. We cannot pass up
however the beautiful exhibition
donated to the community and
the spirit of the day by#47. Their
rockets and bombs were gorgeous
The display of colored lights was a
beautiful finale .
