A view of the north porch of the Palace of Fine Arts at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. There are about fifteen steps leading up to the large neoclassical entrance, a porch with four tall pillars and a triangular pediment. This is the side of the building that did not face out over the north pond, and features a reproduction of the statue of Augustus of Prima Porta (or Primaporta). There are numerous people sitting in chairs in front of the building or on the porch steps. Date supplied by cataloger, based on the year of the Exposition. One of forty-eight glass plate negatives originally housed together with a note by Latta: "Frank Robinson Merced Area Misc. Unidentified."
