Architect Norman P. Alpaugh built the Town House, also known as Sheraton Town House and Sheraton West, in 1928. It consists of 13 floors and boasts of a mini-balcony on every floor, and in each room. It is a City of L.A. Historic Monument, including the roof neon signs that read "Sheraton" and "Sheraton Town House", and was added to the National Register of Historical Places in 1997, Building #96000821. Two separate addresses are listed for this building: 2959-2973 Wilshire Blvd. and 607-643 S. Commonwealth Ave. The architectural firm of Walker and Eisen built the Arcady Hotel, located across from Lafayette Park at 2619 Wilshire Boulevard, in 1927.
