Photograph caption dated August 16, 1988 reads, "A Cessna 210 is grounded yesterday in Ballona Creek, several miles short of the Santa Monica Municipal Airport, after pilot George Reeder made an emergency landing. Reeder, 56, of Bakersfield was forced to land after the craft's single engine lost power, officials said, 'The pilot was able to walk away,' FAA spokesman Fred O'Donnell said."
