Photograph caption dated December 31, 1953 reads, "Thousands of yards of ready-mixed concrete will go into seven bridges to carry traffic over 2.97-mile stretch between junctions of Highway 6 and 99 to Sepulveda Blvd. and San Fernando Rd.
