The Cliff House, first built in 1858, stands on a cliff in western San Francisco overlooking the famous Seal Rocks. It is built upon a cliff at the most westerly point in San Francisco, overlooking the Sky Tram, Golden Gate Straits, Seal Rocks and the Pacific Ocean. The present building was completed in 1950.
