Description
This April 1962 photograph shows the west end of the reading room at the Sacramento Central Library at 828 I Street. It was located on the second floor, along with a reference room, delivery and open stacks for 20,000 volumes. The first floor housed a children's room, a story-telling room and a periodical room, while the third and top floor contained the cataloging department and staff offices.
