Brandon for the city's outstanding vehicle safety-check program. Burbank was one of more than 3,400 communities to participate in the national program, the only one in the state to win in its category and one of the eight to win in the nation. The award-winning vehicle safety-check program was sponsored in Burbank by the Exchange Club, Burbank New Car Dealers and Independent Garage Owners in co-operation with police and safety officials."
