Description
Ray Bradbury discusses his book, “Let’s All Kill Constance,” and Jerry Weist’s biography of him, “Bradbury: An Illustrated Life: A Journey to Far Metaphor.” Martinson begins by reading an excerpt from “Let’s All Kill Constance.” Bradbury talks about how the characters write the books themselves and sometimes won’t leave a story even though he tries to write them out. He talks about his curiosity with religion at a young age and talks about how he tried out Judaism, Catholicism, and even mystic religions such as psychics. He reminisces about a man at a carnival who inspired him as a child and motivated the young Bradbury to write short stories. He discusses how he spent his summers in Hollywood looking for movie stars and wanting to meet famous actors. He ends the interview by describing what he would like to have written on his tombstone when he dies.
