Photograph of a postcard of the exterior of Mission Carmel, ca.1935. A church structure with two towers and a cross on its roof stands at right, beside a smaller house-like structure surrounded by foliage. A tree stands alongside a bush from an island of sorts in the foreground, dividing a paved pathway in two. The back of the postcard contains a mostly illegible note from "Betty" to "Mrs. May D. Paine" of 47 Union Street, Montclair, New Jersey. The postage mark is dated February 16, 1935 and was issued at the Del Monte, California, Post Office.
