Description
This circa 1960 postcard presents a street-level view of the Cordova Lodge at 10701 Folsom Boulevard, which opened in 1959. Visible are the building, sign and parking lot as they appeared when business was very good. With the closure of Aerojet General and McDonnell-Douglas and the new Highway 50 bypassing Folsom Boulevard, many businesses - in the 1970s - went into decline, none harder hit than lodges, motels and restaurants that depended on a steady flow of travelers down Folsom Boulevard.
