Description
Dr. Henry Orton Howitt practiced medicine in San Rafael, California beginning in 1893. Both his home and office were located at 311 Lincoln Avenue (which later became 1111 Lincoln Ave.). He was a founder of the Cottage Hospital in San Rafael and attended patients there. He and his wife, Alice, had three children: Edith, Beatrice and Henry. This picture depicts Dr Howitt next to his car, in February 1914
