From the Charles Henry Geer photo album series that depicts a promotion held to sell land in Turlock, California, circa 1907. Extensive advertising that also included detailed railway travel directions enticed many people to Turlock to listen to the presentations of land agents. In this image an unidentified man speaks to the crowd while standing on the front of one of the earliest automobiles in the area. The woman dressed in white is seated in the back seat of the vehicle with two other women.
