Description
Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations in printed book.
Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations in a 1682 copy of Dryden's Absalom and Achitophel, likely by an owner named George Cooke, whose name is inscribed on the back of the last page of text. Annotations consist of a key to the characters described in the poem, written on the verso of the fourth leaf. The bottom edge of the text is very tightly trimmed and part of the imprint is missing; it is possible but not likely that other annotations could have also been lost in this manner.
