Text from negative sleeve: 1061. Trinity County trip, 1917. Modesto, Calif. Got into Modesto, California, late at night and hunted for a place at camp. Ran across the ball park with gate open, drove in and around the bases a couple times and made bed in the pitcher's box. Next morning we had breakfast in the car consisting of casaba we had bot [sic] the day before. 1. Wilfrid Cline Jr in rear seat eating casaba. 2. L to R: Harry Schmitz and Wilfrid Cline Jr eating casaba.
