Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of a horse-drawn cart traveling down a Boston street. The street enters frame at left and recedes as it extends out-of-frame at right. Left-of-center, a wagon being pulled by 2 horses is captured in motion traveling through the street. It is viewed at an angle from the rear and the right side; it travels away from camera to the right. The bed of the cart is lined by 2 long benches that face each other. A driver sits ahead of the benches with his back to camera. Two horses, trotting side-by-side at center, pull the cart; one is obscured by the other. Along the near street curb at right, a sign stands. It reads, "NO STANDING POLICE ORDER." Buildings and trees stand across the background.
