6 images. Telephone poles downed in Long Beach, 15 March 1952. East 7th Street on main highway between Long Beach and Santa Ana.
Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Emery. Date: 1952-03-15. Reporter: Emery to rw. Assignment: 16 telephone poles down on mile of highway -- East 7th Street eastward from San Gabriel River Bridge, Long Beach into Orange County. 15-16-82-83-30: Like a row of dominoes, these wire-laden telephone poles fell, blocking one mile of East Seventh Street on main highway between Long Beach and Santa Ana. High wind pushed poles over about 2 p.m., 3-15".
