Description
A parade featuring uniformed participants wearing police shields moves along K Street from Eighth to Tenth. The front line marchers all wear different outfits, including a cadet uniform, and are followed by a uniformed marching band. Throngs of people line both sides of the street. Businesses in the background include Vienna Restaurant and Bakery (917 K Street, Purnell's Books and Stationery (915 K Street), Hotel Sequoia (911 K Street), Enna Jettick Shoe Store (919 K Street), Chinn-Beretta Optical Company (901 K Street), Hale Brothers Dry Goods (825 K Street), W.A. Meyers Optometry (903 K Street), Cruise's Coffee Shop (921a K Street), and Stanley's Men's Clothing (905 K Street). Rooftops and windows of the buildings along the march are also crowded with spectators.
