Description
Photograph article dated January 5, 1963 partially reads, "Walter L. Leschander's "dust bowl" is a small den in his North Hollywood home crowded with a large overstuffed chair, several cluttered desks, mementos such as a century-old Mexican clock - and probably the world's best private library on spying. Leschander began collecting books on espionage "and kindred literature relating to World War II" in 1955. Today he is recognized as one of the great authorities on the art of spying. Ironically, Leschander has never been a spy himself. He retired 10 months ago from the Hollywood office of the division of Remington Rand."
