A cartes-de-visite of a young woman, studio portrait by unknown photographer, Los Angeles, California, USA, circa 1870. The woman stands next to a chair against the wall. She wears ethnic attire: a wide tunic with pants underneath and a sash across the left shoulder. Her hair is curly and teased out for height and volume. The photograph is in good condition with minor surface soiling.
