Description
Three-quarters length portrait. 1990-1709. Born in New York State in 1814. Came with brothers Henry and Frederick overland to California in 1850. Worked the southern mines before buying sawmill, Bailey & Morgan. Eventually settled in Sonora where purchased orchards, developed business (Macomber Bros) dealing in fruit, cider, vinegar, champagne cider and pickles. Died in 1900. Mr. Irving, Sonora
