With the greatest Christmas mail business since 1929, doubled forces of men are working day and night in Los Angeles to deliver Yuletide packages and messages of cheer. Here a crew is working over huge stacks of mail at the Arcade post office on December 18, 1935. More than 1100 additional employees have been added to handle the mail at the post office, and a doubled crew of 1200 carriers to deliver it to brighten homes of the city. Officials say this year's Christmas card mail is the biggest in the history of the city.
