Description
This evening shot, taken in circa 2000, shows the "Delta King" riverboat at its permanent moorage at Old Sacramento State Historic Park. Launched in 1927, the boat's original assignment was to deliver passengers to Pier 3 in San Francisco and return to the Sacramento waterfront. Starting at 6:00 in the evening, the voyage would take 11-hours with the boat not exceeding 10 miles per hour.
