One of four people killed today in the crash of a truck-trailer at Los Palos street and East Olympic boulevard was young Arturo Traslavina, 5, pictured here as a toddler. Other fatalities included his mother Mrs. Librada Traslavina, 43, his sister Alicia, 11, and family friend Mauro Baltherra, 45, who were all killed when they were struck by Edward L. Gannon's 70,000-pound truck in the East Los Angeles crosswalk. Gannon was arrested 6 hours after the accident and was eventually arraigned on four counts of manslaughter and one count of hit and run for leaving the scene without rendering aid or assistance.
