Description
Men sorting ore at one of the planillas, probably the Randol Planilla at the Randol Shaft at New Almaden. The Planilla was a large wooden shed with open sides in which the ore was sorted. Sorters cleaned and separated the ore by grade and size using large screens set at a slant. The Mexican term for the building, planilla, was used by all..
