Description
A worker, identified as H.E. Newton, dumps avocados from a wooden crate onto a conveyor belt of a stamping machine at the packing plant of Calavo Growers of California. Behind him, more fruit crates with the "Calavo" logo are stacked waist-high; awaiting their destiny with the stamp machine. The plant is located in the Central Manufacturing District at 4803 Everett Street. Photo dated: January 25, 1929.
