Description
Workers loading avacados for Calavo Growers of California-Los Angeles in wooden boxes onto a truck. This is the first load of Calavos shipped east. It consisted of 1500 to 2000 cases on a truck, with 16 to 30 avocados per case. Photo date: January 25, 1929. The location was in the Central Manufacturing District at 4803 Everett Street.
