Description
Photo mounted on board. Front view of the entire "Hacienda de Beneficio," or the Reduction Works. The Hacienda mine office with its cupola is in the lower left corner of the photo. On front of board, handwritten in ink: "Reduction Works 1875 New Almaden, Calif." On back of board: Handwritten in ink: "The Hacienda de Beneficio (Reduction Works) at New Almaden, Calif. From Mrs. J.R. Bailey (Leoline Hopkins), a New Almaden schol teacher in the 1880's." Stamped in ink: "Laurence E. Bulmore 1831 San Pedro Berkeley, California." Handwritten in faded ink near bottom of photo: "New Almaden 1875."
