Photograph caption reads: "Survivors of Wednesday's flamingo massacre at the L.A. Zoo are among 33 birds that lived through the attack. Restoring the flock could cost from $45,000 to $85,000, or $750 to $2,500 a bird". "Coyotes got into unlocked cage and killed serveral flamingos". Photograph dated: Oct. 9, 1987.
