Description
Photograph of Henry Harris Altes, a 31-year-old electrician who was booked at the Van Nuys police station for savagely beating his wife, Effie, in the head with a machinist's hammer. Mrs. Effie Altes, 28, was taken to General Hospital in serious condition. The Altes' reside at 10530 Erma St., Tujunga. Photograph dated January 1, 1957.
