Photograph caption dated August 7, 1936 reads, "Lovingly patting the arm of the daughter she accuses of being insane, Mrs. Charlotte Shelby is shown at left in foreground with the daughter, Mrs. Margaret Fillmore, at her hearing in the General Hospital today. Mrs. Fillmore denied the charges and countered with the accusation her mother had taken money out of her safety deposit box. Mrs. Fillmore, sister of Mary Miles Minter, consented to go to a sanitarium for 30 days. The hearing was delayed."
