Description
Sue Miller discusses her novel, “Family Pictures.” She begins by explaining that her book is about a family with six children and how they interact with each other. She talks about how the children experience a radical change during the 1950s and 1960s. She describes why she set her book in a post World War II community. Miller discusses familial pressures and the complexities of the father/son relationship. She talks about the cohesion of family even during difficult times. She ends the interview by discussing how she has worked extensively with children, and did research on autism for the book.
