Myers, speaking for the company, was in agreement with the Los Angeles Regional Planning Commission's proposal for development of the flatlands between Saugus and Newhall. The article partially reads, "'By 1980...in the Newhall-Saugus area, 180,000.' That is the growth predicted in the Los Angeles Regional Planning Commission publication, 'Background for Planning.'"
