Photograph caption dated August 20, 1957 reads, "Walter Braunschweiger, right, vice president of Bank of America and Southern California savings bonds chairman of American Bankers Association, accepts first of United States Treasury 'Official Agency' signs which will mark 732 Southern California banks, from treasury consultant Howard Mills. Signs will be displayed in banks which are principal outlets for local $200,000,000 in annual savings bonds sales."
