Description
Bust-length portrait. 1990-1691. Also have negative: no. 357. Born in Kentucky in 1791. Fought in the War of 1812 under General Winchester. Went overland to Oregon in 1846 where he farmed until Gold Rush in 1848 took him to Coloma. Spent time in the mines, ran a hotel near Coloma, farmed. Served as Justice of the Peace. Settled in Green Valley, Sonoma in 1850. Served on the Board of Supervisors. Died in 1885 in Sebastopol.
