B. Inoue, of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., writes Mr. K. Hopper informing him that the records that are hereunder summarized regarding SEI's (Sumitomo Electric Industries) receipt of the Deming prize in 1962 was sent to Mr. Nagasaki's office for translation. The records include an official statement by the jury about the awarding of the Deming prize to SEI and the participation of foreman in QC activity. It also mentions SEI's change to the line and staff setup in light of the CCS (Civil Communications Section) seminar. The letter contains Inoue's signature. The letter also contains an original handwritten "20" on the top, right corner of page 1 and markings.
