(SIDE 1 AND 2) PERRY, Al P. 625 Benton Street, Santa Clara, 296-5292 Mr Perry has lived in Santa Clara since the early Twenties: he was a leader in the recall movement against City Councilman James Viso in 1961 and is current chairman of the Historical and Landmark Commission June 18, 1974. Union Paving Company and the paving of Santa Clara streets (late Twenties, early Thirties). Prohibition. Structure of Union Paving Company. The Depression. Social life (the Thirties); labor and management in the Depression. Civic government: effects on small town atmosphere. Local clubs. Portuguese fiesta. The small town atmosphere. The teachers. Parents and children (Changes from 1920’s on). Length—50 minutes.
