Junji Noguchi, the general manager of the Union of Japanese Scientists & Engineers (JUSE), writes Mr. Kenneth Hopper, saying that Sumitomo Electric received the Deming prize in 1962. He says that the registration of Sumitomo Electric's QC circle occurred in June 1963. Noguchi reports that he can send copies of public lecture contents by the 1962 awardees and an article from SQC magazine. He goes on to say that he does not have any pictures of Mr. Inoue in the awarding ceremony, but that the picture of Mr. Kitagawa, president at that time, is included in the copies he is sending. The letter contains markings and Noguchi's signature. The letter also contains an original handwritten "23" on the top, right corner of the page.
