Description
Birmingham High School was built on the site of Birmingham Veterans Administration Hospital and was acquired by Los Angeles City Schools in the early 1950s for the token price of $1.00.
Photograph caption reads: "James Hageman congratulated by Dr. E. V. Edwards". James Hageman received a citation from Birmingham Veterans Administration Hospital in the San Fernando Valley naming him employee of the month in recognition of his work in constructing scientific apparatus for the hospital. Photograph dated: Dec. 15, 1948.
