Photograph caption dated December 10, 1949 reads "Officers of the San Fernando Valley Society of Public Accountants apply for recognition as a chapter of the American Society of Public Accountants. Valley society president, Newell J. Cooper hands his group's charter to William Crawford, representing the national society, for consideration. Other Valley officers are left to right, Stanley Clarke, George M. Crandall and Edwin H. Slocum."
